Greg Bailey was bassist in the Christian Rock band Petra since joining in late 2001. Before that, he played with several rock bands, including Stir and others.
Bailey's first Petra show was in a Pethead Convention held at Wichita, Kansas on January 26, 2002. He is known to play his cello for acoustic sets.
In 2003, he recorded background vocals for one of the band's last studio album, Jekyll & Hyde, and he also co-wrote one of the songs. In 2005, he participated in the recording of the band's last live album, Petra Farewell.
